Yep, the prices for new gear are rediculous! But that doesn't mean one can't fly. Generally, pilots replace
their wings every two years, either with newer models or ones in a higher class. Today's gliders have a
conservative lifespan of 300+ sunlight hours. Since the average pilot will only fly about 100 hours before
upgrading, there's plenty of life left in the wing. Furthermore, being an ultralight aircraft, in order to keep
one's equipment airworthy, it's thoroughly looked after. So rest assured, the used gear available is in
good nick!
